Meeting at the Neighborhood Cup in Aliso Viejo, the summer heat blew through the patio, almost droning the dideridoos which were leaning idly against the wall - as if waiting for a stray aussie to come by.
They were in luck.
AustraUSAers joined in on the beginners didgeridoo lesson, tooting out sounds more like a koala's mating call than an ancient ceremonial instrument. Okay, so we need a little more practice - but it's a great way to clear out a previous bustling coffee shop!
After our lesson, and all those laughs, we headed across the road to take refuge in an air-conditioned restaurant where we dined whilst being seranaded by a young opera singer. It isn't over till the fat lady sings.. but this is LA, so we settled for skinny.
